You Simply Position Fishing Line Behind The Aluminum Pin That Protrudes Through The Center Of The Pads To Hold Your Snap Weight Or Side Planer Securely On The Line.     Work great smoothest release I have ever used but had trouble with pins coming out of release so we added epoxy on top of pin blending it in with clip problem solved
